The Importance of the Audience

by Shawn Collins on July 2, 2010

I went to the first Audience Conference last November in New York City, and the messages of building and cultivating an audience really resonated with me.

The second Audience Conference is taking place August 14, 2010 at Caroline’s on Broadway in New York City, and this time around Missy Ward and myself have teamed up with Loren Feldman of 1938 Media to put it on.

The 2010 Summer Audience Conference

This is the day before Affiliate Summit East 2010 kicks off down the street at the Hilton New York.

The theme of the conference is comedy and there is an impressive roster of speakers and comedians, including Chris Brogan, Loren Feldman, Chris Pearson, and Brian Alvey. The price is just $129 and there are only 300 seats in the room.

So you get to see and meet a bunch of funny and/or smart people, as well as a light breakfast, bar food for lunch, and beer/wine.

Register now for the Audience Conference.

Oh, and there will be an Open Mic for all of you that think you can bring the laughs. It’s open to all attendees with the guts to get on stage and perform 2-3 minutes of standup.

I’d recommend the Audience conference for anybody who wants an audience… speakers, bloggers, affiliate managers, etc.

Also, sponsorships are still available.
